How VEDIK works
Study only what the exam actually asks
VEDIK ranks the whole UPSC syllabus by what really appears in past papers, walks you through only what matters, and reminds you exactly when to revise it. Here's the 2-minute tour.
The flow · start to finish
Your loop: pick → study → revise
Six steps. Follow them in order the first few times, then it becomes second nature.
See where you stand
DashboardYour home screen — overall progress, what's due to revise, and current affairs that matter for you. A quick glance, then move on.
→ Look for: the “Browse the weighted syllabus →” button
Pick what matters
WeightageThe whole syllabus as a tree, each area sized by how much it really appears in the exam. Open a heavy (red/orange) area and drill down to a topic.
→ Look for: the big % and the heat colours — red = heaviest
See the proof
Topic pageEvery topic opens to its exam weightage and the actual past questions that prove it — no opinions. Read the short brief and how many times it was asked.
→ Look for: “Asked 8×” on the green card
Learn it your way
StudyA workspace with tabs — Understand, What's asked, Visualize, Memorize, and Ask the tutor. Skim what you need, then start the guided session.
→ Look for: the green “Study session →” button
The guided session
SessionA full-screen player that takes you one step at a time: teach → flashcard → spot-the-trap → a real past exam question. Just tap through — it scores you automatically.
→ Look for: “Session complete” + your next revision date
Revise right on time
TodayThe app schedules each topic's next revision for you (spaced repetition). When it's due it reappears here — re-take a 5-question quiz and it reschedules itself.
→ Look for: the “Revise now” button

- 188 QIt has been asked in 188 real past questions.
- ▁▂▃▅ ↓A mini bar-per-year trend. The ↓ arrow means it is cooling — asked a bit less in recent years.
- ◍ 24%About 24% of it is World/International; the rest is India-focused.
- ⓘOn the real page, tap this on ANY row to get exactly this kind of plain-English sentence.

What every icon & number means
Every number here is a topic's share of Prelims GS-I marks: from the last 10 years of real past questions, plus this cycle's news part on topics. Concept questions count from the last 10 papers; each area's news part is sized by its current-affairs questions in the last 3 papers. Every % opens to the exact questions behind it, and the news part to its stories.
